Sophia Pais earned her Masters’ degree in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Mangalore University and a Bachelors’ degree in Integrated Home Science from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, India.
Sophia has a work experience of over 25 years working exclusively in Health care settings as a counselor. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Middle East Psychological Association (MEPA). She has worked in hospitals and NGOs in the field of HIV/AIDS, Sexual and Reproductive health, Terminal Illnesses, and Palliative care. Her experience includes Pre and Post-test Counseling, deaddiction counseling, Grief, and Trauma counseling.
Sophia has also worked with children, teens, and adults with Autism, ADHD, Learning and Developmental disabilities, and other Mental Health Disorders. She is a trained ADHD coach and attended various training programs in Art Therapy, Psychometric assessments, and Executive skills.
Sophia works with clients dealing with Anxiety disorders, Depressive disorders, Trauma, and Stressor related Disorders.
Sophia speaks English, Hindi, and other regional Indian languages.
